Weekly News Links Week of July 27

Posted by Eleather Baker on July 29, 2009 in Outdoor Activities, Weekly Links

This July has been a little cooler than usual, but it’s been perfect for outdoor activities from picnics to sporting events and fitness activities. So this week’s edition of our Weekly News Links is all about the great outdoors, including information about an award Indianapolis received for studying ways to create new urban mini-parks.

As you may know, Indiana has many outdoor experiences to discover. Indy Parks  has a host of programs, facilities and events at parks throughout the city, and the Indiana Department of Natural Resources still has several events coming up this summer and fall, including their Hoosier Outdoor Experience, Sept. 25-27 at Fort Harrison State Park.

Hopefully, our great weather will continue so we all can enjoy more outdoor activities in the months ahead. Enjoy!
