This week’s edition of Weekly News Links is our Kids’ Stuff edition, with promising information about kids’ changing eating habits as well as info about creative efforts to fight childhood obesity. The first two links suggest that kids who are given choices will often choose healthy options. Could Pac-man make a comeback and help kids eat better? A study in the Archives of Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine showed that kids who played a Pac-man-style video game in which they were rewarded for choosing healthy snacks were more likely to choose a healthy snack when offered food later.
